The Litho-Lamination Workflow: Printing, Laminating, and Die-Cutting
High-quality graphic packaging requires a combination of commercial printing and heavy-duty structural board. The Lamina sheet laminator serves as the vital link between these two materials.
1. High-Resolution Printing
Because corrugated board has a wavy, uneven surface (the fluting), it cannot be printed on directly with high-resolution, photographic quality. Instead, the artwork is printed onto a flat, high-quality paper sheet using a traditional offset lithography press.
2. The Lamina Litho-Lamination Process
The printed sheets and the blank corrugated boards are loaded into the used lamina sheet laminating machine for sale. The machine executes a precise, synchronized sequence:
- Feeding: The Lamina machine uses vacuum suction cups to feed the top printed sheet while simultaneously feeding the bottom corrugated substrate from a separate stack.
